Shane Warden

Shane is an innovative thinker with over 30 years’ experience in Innovation, Technical and Operational Management and Development covering all aspects of Broadcast and Sports Media.
Combining deep Sports Rights knowledge with all types of Data and Broadcasting technology, he has had experience in all areas including Sports Outside Broadcast, Sports Data (including player and ball tracking as well as Biometrics), Digital OTT, Rights and Media/Brand Valuation/Insights, Studios, Post Production, Global Fibre and Satellite Contribution and Distribution, as well as Media Asset Management (MAM / DAM).
He is known for driving and pioneering many current and topical innovations including real-time Human Sports data, Performance data and Insights, Ai Highlights, Live Cloud Production, Virtual Advertising, Broadcaster Portal and automated Media Delivery Systems.

His role at AWS is to use his experience to guide and advise global Sports Federations, Leagues and Governing Bodies as well as Broadcasters, Service Providers and Software Vendors on their technical innovation, and business transformation into AWS.

He has held senior management positions within private and FTSE listed organisations such as IMG, ATP Media and ITV and in his past, has earned a vast array of creative Broadcast and Feature Film credits as an Editor and a VFX Artist, demonstrating creative flair as well as technical and commercial competence.

His reputation in sports media and technology has lead him to become an advisor to many technology and software manufacturers across trending industry challenges such as Sports Data, Live Cloud Production, OTT, Biometrics, Workflows and High Speed Communications.

Shane been requested to deliver numerous technical and industry perspective presentations worldwide (including NAB, IBC, SVG, Leaders, iSportconnect, FOCAL, DPP and DAM EU) and has served on committees for BAFTA, RTS, DTG, and UK Screen.
Shane is an Advisory Board Member of SVG and BlackBook Motorsports.
