Scott Sloan

International Olympic Committee (IOC)
IOC Safe Sport Unit Project Manager

After gaining his MSc in International Development, Scott worked on growing multiple start-up social enterprises across Southern Africa.

After moving to Cape Town in mid-2016, and inspired by the positive values and inclusivity while playing sport around the world, Scott founded the School of Hard Knocks, a social enterprise that uses sport to help young people cope with trauma and improve their physical and emotional well-being.

Scott joined the IOC Medical and Scientific Department, Safe Sport Unit in 2022 where he contributes to safeguarding athletes from harassment and abuse in sport and leads the work on the protection and promotion of athlete mental health.
