Marie Sallois

Corporate and Sustainable Development Director

Marie Sallois drives the implementation of sustainable development within the Olympic Movement. This includes environmental and social responsibility (human rights and gender equality, diversity and inclusion), together with Olympic Games impact and legacy. Sallois regularly represents the IOC at high-level conferences and sits on the boards of local and international organisations, such as the World Union of Olympic Cities (UMVO), the International Academy of Sports Science and Technology (AISTS), ThinkSport and Innovaud.

Prior to that, she was the Director for Sustainability from 2015; project lead for the IOC headquarters, Olympic House, which won the highest international and Swiss sustainability certifications, from 2013; and, on joining the IOC in 2004, Head of Corporate Development, reporting to the Director General.

Before joining the IOC, she already had over 10 years’ experience in professional services worldwide. She headed the consulting practice of SchlumbergerSema and led major transformation projects internationally in the public and private sectors, for Andersen, Cap-Gemini and Bossard Consultants.

Sallois holds a Master of Business in Administration from the International Institute for Management Development – IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland), and a Master’s in Management and Finance from HEC Paris (France). She remains closely connected with the academic world.
