Ilario Corna, a Swiss-born leader in the information and technology sector, took up his role at the IOC in November 2020. Prior to joining the IOC, he held the position of Executive Vice-President for TV and Smart Products at Swisscom in Zurich.

With over 15 years of international experience in information and technology services, broadcasting, digital media and e-commerce for prominent companies in the media and telecommunications sectors, Corna brought a wealth of expertise to his current role. He has successfully overseen IT infrastructure, spearheaded digital transformation initiatives, and championed process improvements to enhance efficiency. Throughout his career, he has consistently focused on delivering customer-centric and technology-driven products and services.

Corna first formally encountered the Olympic Movement in 2010, when he worked for the Canadian Olympic Broadcasting Consortium as part of Canada’s largest private broadcaster to deliver the 2010 Vancouver Games, a collaboration that continued with the London 2012 Games.

He studied computer science and engineering in Switzerland and Canada, and speaks English, French, Italian (his first language) and German.
