Iain Edmondson

Iain Edmondson, Founder & Managing Director of Legacy Delivery Ltd, advises on maximising the impact of major sporting and cultural events for cities, regions, and event rights-owners. Notably, his 14-year event management tenure started with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid team. Formerly Head of Major Events for London & Partners, he facilitated the success of numerous major events and championships, fostering economic and societal benefits.

As a founding Director and Honorary Member of the International Association of Event Hosts (IAEH), Iain pioneered “Event Impact Standards” and “Common Indicators for Impact Measurement”, contributing significantly to the field. He holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and actively engages in global conferences and education programmes. An avid sports participant, he partakes in various events, including the London Marathon and RideLondon. Additionally, he chairs the London Youth Rowing charity, fostering inclusivity in the sport of rowing for diverse youth.
