Etienne Thobois
Etienne Thobois, a former French Badminton number 1 and 1996 Atlanta Olympics participant, holds a degree from ESCP Europe Business School. With management roles in major sporting events, such as CFO for the 2003 IAAF World Athletics Championships and CEO for the 2007 IRB Rugby World Cup, he’s well-versed in the field.
He’s also been on the IOC Evaluation Commission for the 2016 Games and consulted for the Tokyo 2020 Bidding Committee. Serving on the Executive Committee of the Badminton World Federation, his combined experience as an elite athlete and sports event executive provides profound insights into sports issues, both nationally and internationally.
After successfully leading the Paris 2024 Bidding Committee, he was appointed CEO of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
