A graduate of Political Sciences with a postgraduate degree in criminology, Aurélie Merle has worked for over twelve years for NGOs and International Organisations in the field of human rights and international criminal justice, mainly in Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Passionate about sport, she joined the Sports Department of the London 2012 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2009. She then created her own sports consulting structure and was mandated by various international sporting world players such as the International Olympic Committee, International Federations and Bidding Committees.

Aurélie joined the Paris 2024 Bidding Committee in 2016 and is now Sports Executive Director of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
