LAUSANNE, Switzerland, 5 July 2024 – The IF Forum 2024, taking place from 21-23 October at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, under the theme “Ensuring your IF is match fit and future-ready,” will delve into key topics of the moment, including the significant impact that AI is already having on how IFs operate—from judging technology to back office administration—and the pressures that all IFs face as they are squeezed between increasingly fragile revenues on one hand and an ever-expanding list of demands on their resources on the other, particularly those related to maintaining their social licenses to operate. The IF Forum will also examine current challenges in anti-doping and recent advancements in athlete health, especially through the application of new technology.
Key sessions will cover anti-doping strategies post-Paris 2024 and beyond, promoting participation and physical activity to ensure the longevity of sport and counter global inactivity, holistic advances, including technological, in athlete care, balancing revenue with resource demands, and implementing effective sports governance. Additionally, the IF Forum will explore the role of AI in sports and its potential to promote sustainability within International Federations.
This invitation-only event will gather over 120 International Federations and the four Umbrella Organisations: ASOIF, WOF, ARISF, and AIMS, totaling approximately 400 participants. The IF Forum will feature a diverse range of speakers and panelists, including leading figures from various IFs, technology experts, and governance specialists. Specific speakers and panelists will be announced soon.
