Tine Eriksen Green
As Head of Major Events, Tine Eriksen Green was leading the project team for Tour de France Grand Départ in Copenhagen 2022 that included an extensive Host City Programme with a 2 days-festival with approx. 40.000 guests and a public bike race on the Grand Départ time trial route with approx. 50.000 participants.
The City of Copenhagen has a long and strong tradition for hosting major events with a huge public support, not least the last of couple of years with Tour de France Grand Départ 2022, World Pride and Eurogames 2021 and the UEFA EURO 2020.
Starting from 2025 a new annual UCI World Tour race for both men and women will be held in the streets of Copenhagen. The City of Copenhagen’s Event Strategy focuses on events that bring the city together and create legacy with a strong social impact. This will also be the focus for Tine Eriksen Green and her team as they use their experiences from previous major events to create the Host City Programme for the new UCI World Tour race in Copenhagen.
Tine Eriksen Green believes that events have the ability to bring the whole city together. Thinking big when conceptualising an event can attract the curious as well as the enthusiasts. Building an inclusive event requires a broad approach and strong partnerships. The starting point is finding connections and creating a platform around the event which embraces a wide range of stakeholders.
