Susan Sawbridge

Sooz is Managing Partner at Daylight, advising on the visitor economy: major events, business events, tourism, and especially where they come together. Focused on strategy and its implementation, Sooz has advised individual providers through to national entities, both in New Zealand and internationally.  Formerly Manager of New Zealand Major Events, Sooz led the government’s role in events such as the FIFA Women’s World Cup, Rugby World Cup, Women’s Cricket World Cup and the America’s Cup. Before that, she led Event Prospecting for the city of Auckland. Sooz was a founding director and former Chair of the International Association of Event Hosts, is currently the Chair of Women In Sport Aotearoa, and sits on the board of adapt MTB, a charity supporting people with disabilities to access and experience mountain biking.
