Perttu Pesa

Perttu has been working in the Event Industry last 30 years. He is familiar with sport and culture while he got his degrees from the culture dep from University of Tampere and sport has been a passion since he was born.

From 2009 to 2011 he was a Vice Mayor in the City of Tampere, where he oversaw Culture, Sport, Second grade education and Business Development. From 2012 he has led Major Event dep in the City. Perttu is official representative of the city in all international sport event LOC´s held in Tampere.

The City of Tampere were one of the founding members of International Association of Event Hosts and from 2022 he has been a Chair person in director board.

There is a flying phrase in the Tampere City Council: When two Finnair planes meet in the sky, Perttu usually sits in both.
