Paul Bush OBE

Paul Bush OBE is VisitScotland Director of Events. In his role he leads EventScotland, Business Events and Industry teams. Over the past decade this has brought some of the world’s biggest event properties to the country, including The Ryder Cup and Commonwealth Games in 2014, World Gymnastics Championships 2015, World Orienteering Championships 2015, the MTV Music Awards on two occasions, 2018 European Championships, The 2019 Solheim Cup, the UEFA EURO 2020 and the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships, which he was Chairman of the board.  

As Director of Events, he advocates for the industry and liaises with all key stakeholders including politicians, venues, festivals, rights holders, funders, broadcast and commercial partners to ensure Scotland retains its position as The Perfect Stage for Events.

 Paul is currently Chairman of British Curling and was previously Chair of Commonwealth Games from 2015 to 2023.
