James Drake KC

After more than 35 years as an advocate, James Drake is now a full-time arbitrator, with a practice covering a wide range of international commercial disputes under the auspices of most of the international arbitral institutions (e.g., the American Arbitration Association, the International Chamber of Commerce, the London Court of International Arbitration, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Swiss Arbitration Centre). In the sporting arena, James is a member of the panel of arbitrators for the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne and of Sport Resolutions (SR) in the UK. He is also a member of the English Premier League’s Judicial Panel and a member of the Judicial Panel for the LTA. James has participated in (usually as chair of the panel) over 100 sports arbitrations across a variety of matters.
