James Bulley

James has over 30 years’ experience in the delivery and operation of mega projects. Over the last 20 years James has specialised in providing delivery services for mega events and venues.

James advises boards, governments and funding institutions on the successful delivery, financing, operation and dissolution of events and major venues. He was seconded for 6 months to Ashgabat as CEO of the Organising Committee for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Turkmenistan. As Director of Venues, Infrastructure and Olympic Park for the London 2012 Organising Committee, LOCOG, James led the department that delivered and operated the 120 sites and venues required for the Games. He recruited and led the venue operations teams and was the Director with overall responsibility for the operation of the London Olympic Park.

James was awarded the Olympic Order by the IOC for his work on the London Games and was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for services to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
